Taraxa Progress Update: June, 2025

State of the network as of July 9, 2025:

Infrastructure Highlights:

  • RPC is our current infrastructure focus, to ensure that the public RPC clusters are stable with a layer of dynamically tuned range limits and caching, which will greatly improve the overall stability and resilience. We will also be implementing private RPC endpoints for the critical dApps in the ecosystem so that their apps are far less likely to be disrupted.
  • We have set up regularly updated state snapshots for Taraxa nodes, this is an often-requested feature from the validator community and will make it much easier to onboard new validators and node runners. Find out more about syncing from snapshots in our documentation.
  • Envio has been successfully integrated into the Taraxa ecosystem. This makes developing dApps significantly simpler on Taraxa as developers can now specify on-demand, fully customizable indexer endpoints.
  • Tasks we continue to work on: TPS increase via more efficient PBFT block selection, finality latency reduction through dynamic voting round delays and pipelining, and integrating post-quantum cryptography into Taraxa.
  • In a volatile market, where Layer-1’s are regularly going down, or decide to erase transactions they don’t like, Taraxa is still here, building and keeping the flame of true decentralization alive. Build on the L1 that’s fast, low-cost, truly decentralized, and actually works!
